Lady Gaga Goes Green in NYC

She rarely gets a moment to rest, but a green-haired Lady Gaga was spotted enjoying a little leisure time while greeting fans as she ran errands in New York City on Sunday (July 31).
The Big Apple outing comes as the "You and I" singer is prepping for yet another television appearance - as she'll be gracing the stage tomorrow (August 1) on the daytime talk show "The View".
Meanwhile, Gaga's enormously successful career continues to push forth in full throttle - as she most recently announced plans to release a coffee-table book on November 22.
According to a press release, the 25-year-old's upcoming bookshelf offering will feature over 350 pictures of her taken over the past year by well-known photographer Terry Richardson.

Nicki Minaj Is A 'Great Artist,' Britney Spears Says
'I think she has a distinct sound when she raps,' Spears says of Femme Fatale Tour opening act.
By Christina Garibaldi

When the news that Britney Spears was taking MC Nicki Minaj on the road with her hit, fans — and Brit herself — couldn't have been more excited. The Femme Fatale Tour is now in full swing, with both women bringing their A-game to each performance. And along the way, it seems as if these two have sparked a friendship.
"I think she's great," Spears told MTV News of Minaj. "She's a great artist in every way and I'm really happy for her."
Minaj, who is nominated for three Video Music Awards, brings her own flair to the girl-power tour, adding her eccentric style, her fiery wigs and, of course, her signature beats.
"I think she has a distinct sound when she raps," Spears said. "It really stands out and sets her apart from everyone else. I'm happy she's able to be on tour with me because that's just amazing."
Last month, we caught up with Minaj just before she hit the road with the pop veteran, and she was ready to take that distinct sound to a whole new fanbase.
"I'm just trying to put more theater on that stage. So much to me is music, but it's also about putting on a show, so that's my goal: to truly put on a show and incorporate theater and dance," Minaj said.
And if you're lucky, you might just catch Spears and Minaj teaming up for a special performance of the remix for "Till the World Ends."
"At the end of the show, the last song she comes on every once in awhile," Spears said of Minaj joining her onstage. "Not every show, but it's usually special when she does it."
Will you see Britney and Nicki on tour this summer? Let us know in the comments.

Michael Jackson's Family Upset With James Durbin Over 'American Idol' Pepsi Quip
'We were shocked to see this,' read the Jacksons' message; Durbin tweeted an apology on Thursday.
By Gil Kaufman

Some people might argue that it's patently unfair to take rank amateurs, put them on the biggest show on TV and then expose them to potential worldwide ridicule every week. Because it's one thing to tune in to "American Idol" from your living room or play shows at the local wings joint, it's another thing entirely when you get up on that stage and open your mouth with tens of millions watching and listening.
James Durbin learned this lesson the hard way this week when he made what he thought was an innocent crack about not setting himself on fire during his pyro-tastic cover of Elton John's "Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)" on Wednesday night.
Asked by host Ryan Seacrest if he was worried about dancing around among the flames shooting up from the piano onstage, Durbin joked, "I have a lot of hairspray in my hair to keep it from jumping around — so much so, the one thing I was worried about was having a 'Pepsi moment.' "
The seemingly innocent crack was a reference to the 1984 on-set accident in which late pop icon Michael Jackson was badly burned during the shooting of a Pepsi commercial by some wayward pyro effects. The serious burns he suffered in the incident allegedly led to his longtime addiction to pain medication and prescription drugs.
The Jackson family was not amused by the quip and sent a statement to TMZ on Thursday.
"We were shocked to see this. It's nothing to make light of and everybody should be focusing on who was responsible for Michael's death," read the statement. Family patriarch Joseph Jackson also was reportedly miffed that "Idol" producers did not cut the comment from the West Coast feed of the show.
Durbin defended his slip-up in a tweet, which has since been scrubbed from the singer's official "Idol" Twitter feed, that explained, "For anyone talkin ... I said pepsi NOT MJ! I have no disrespect for Michael. I grew up singing his art. I guess youll take it how you want it." He later added, "Talkin about MJs passing is too soon. Making a reference to an incident 25 years ago..not too soon. The stab was at pepsi people."
It's worth noting that Pepsi's bitter rival, Coca-Cola, is the main "Idol" sponsor, a fact that Seacrest reminded Durbin of in an awkward moment after the comment on the show.
What did you think of James Durbin's "Pepsi" quip? Tell us in the comments.

Britney Spears 'Completely Flattered' By Two VMA Nominations
Spears received nominations for Best Choreography and Best Pop Video.
By Christina Garibaldi

Britney Spears is no stranger to the Video Music Awards. She has so far been nominated 28 times, won four awards and has given us some of the most iconic VMA performances of all time. Who could forget her VMA strip-down in 2000 for "Oops! ... I Did It Again," her dance with a snake for "I'm a Slave 4 U" and, of course, her infamous "Like a Virgin" kiss with Madonna?
This year, Spears looks to add to her list of VMA accomplishments with two nominations, one for Best Pop Video and one for Best Choreography for her hit Ke$ha-penned song "Till the World Ends." MTV News recently caught up with Spears and broke the news of the nominations to the pop star.
"Oh my goodness, I'm completely flattered," Spears said. "That is amazing! Thank you so much for telling me. That's awesome!"
Spears will tackle some pretty stiff competition in both categories including seven-time nominee Adele ("Rolling in the Deep") and four-time nominee Bruno Mars ("Grenade"). But Spears isn't concentrating on her competition, she's just happy to be recognized.
"I grew up listening to MTV. It's just such an iconic thing to be able to participate in," Spears said about the VMAs. "To even be presented an award is just so flattering and I'm honored. I'm excited."
Spears should be excited after such a big year. She released her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, which reached #1 on the Billboard chart, she's currently on the road for her summer tour, and now she has two more nominations to add to her already lengthy list of awards. So does Spears ever get used to all the VMA nominations?
"Oh no, you never get used to that!" she said.
You can vote for general VMA categories, including Best New Artist, by visiting VMA.MTV.com or m.mtv.com on your mobile phone. In addition, you can get in on Best New Artist text voting by texting BNA to 66333 on your wireless phone. Voting continues through the show, which airs live August 28 at 9 p.m. ET. (Verizon subscribers can vote on all categories via SMS by texting VMA to 66333; standard message rates apply.)
The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live on Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT. See the list of nominees, revisit last year's highlights and vote for your favorites in the general categories by visiting VMA.MTV.com.

Justin Bieber's Next Big Adventure: Pee-wee Herman's Movie?
Pee-wee makes a plea from Comic-Con for singer to cameo in his Judd Apatow-produced film.

SAN DIEGO — Beliebers are in luck, because Justin Bieber might be heading to the big screen once again soon, if Pee-wee Herman has his way.
Turns out Herman, who has been working on a new film alongside producer Judd Apatow, has recently written the VMA nominee in as one of the celebrity cameos. The only problem? Bieber doesn't know yet.
"I can't really tell [what the cameo is], but he makes an appearance toward the end of the film," Herman (actor Paul Reubens, but we definitely interviewed Pee-wee) told MTV News at San Diego Comic-Con. "He doesn't know about it yet, so if you're watching this, Justin!"
That's not the only grade-A cameo Herman has written into the script. He has his eyes on lots of stars — and the White House.
"There's a party scene in the film that I think will have a lot of the stars. We just wrote President Obama into them. We have an offer out to him," Herman unveiled. Will any other government officials be given a role in the movie? "Sarah Palin wasn't asked. I have to draw the line somewhere, and unfortunately that's where it was drawn. I'm sorry, Sarah, I'm sorry," he whispered.
The script for the currently unnamed comedy is being looked at by Universal Studios at the moment, and Herman said he hoped filming could begin within the next couple of months. It only helps that he has Apatow in his court and that the director/producer has words of wisdom to pass on to Herman to make the best comedy he can.
"He's given us the same advice over and over again, which is 'emotional arc,' " Herman explained. "He wants the character to go through an emotional arc and to come out on the other end arced. So that's what we're doing. We're adding an emotional arc. Emotional growth, so there's a change in Pee-wee Herman during this film. Pee-wee makes a change."

Jay-Z, Kanye Get To Work In Watch The Throne Studio Pics

Having one of the year's most anticipated albums means fans will eat up any morsel of new info they can get their hands on about its release. Via his Life + Times website, instead of an audio sneak peek, Jay-Z has revealed a visual look into the creation of Watch the Throne in the form of more than 20 photos taken during the recording of his collaborative album with Kanye West.
In the pictures, besides Yeezy and Hova, a number of celebrities are seen milling about as the two hip-hop stars were going about creating their album. Some of the familiar faces include rapper/producer Pharrell Williams and Jay-Z's wife, Beyoncé.
CHECK OUT EXCLUSIVE STUDIO PHOTOS.
In one particular photo, Kanye is seen looking down at a yellow pad that appears to have a track list for the album. Earlier this week, the official Watch the Throne track list was also revealed on Jigga's site.
Watch the Throne was recorded across a few continents, including Europe and Australia. At least some of the photos were taken in New York City's Mercer Hotel, where parts of the album were recorded and where Jay-Z held an exclusive listening session of the album last week for select media, including MTV News. During the same session, Jay also confirmed that part of the album was recorded at NYC's Tribeca Grand Hotel.
At the listening event, Jay-Z spoke about being in awe of the people who gathered around the room he was sitting in, much like the assembled journalists, while he and Kanye were creating songs. Some of the notables he remembered stopping by off the top of his head included Academy Award winner Russell Crowe, Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci, who designed the album-cover artwork, and heralded fashion designer Phoebe Philo.
Although the release date is still unconfirmed, Watch the Throne appears to be set to drop August 2.

Los Angeles
I'm here! I'm here! And I saw my first gang-banger get arrested yesterday so I feel like a total Angeleno.
I'm getting ready to go to the gym (again, like a total Angeleno!) so I will update later about my run-ins with Alexander Skarsgard, Pauly Shore, and Jeremy or Jason London (I'm not sure which one it was and seeing if I could force him to do drugs to find out seemed unfair. Besides, as it turned out, he was telling the truth?)
Anyhoo, I've got a lot to tell you about gardening! (Did you know if you get dirt wet it turns into mud? Yuck.)
And bumpers! (They don't bump off anything... they go, "Scraaaaaaaatch!")
And there's probably more but, again, I have to go because I have to get to the gym!

Justin Bieber's Grammy Performance Will Be 'A Crossover,' Usher Says
The 'O.M.G.' singer looks forward to sharing the stage with his protégé on Sunday night.
By James Montgomery

HOLLYWOOD — At Sunday's 53rd Grammy Awards, Usher will be pulling double duty as both a nominee and a performer. Of course, given the massive year he just completed — with the success of his smash single "O.M.G." and as a mentor to rising phenom Justin Bieber — Ush's Grammy plans seem rather fitting.
Especially since he'll be performing with Bieber (and Bieber's pal Jaden Smith), a move that's just as much about celebrating Usher's successes as it is the successes of his young protégé.
"Having been through [the Grammys] so many times, you couldn't want for anything more than for your young protégé to have the opportunity to have one, so, in support of him having his moment, I wanted to be here," Usher told MTV News on Thursday, hours before his performance at the (Belvedere) RED launch party in Hollywood. "And also to be there to perform, to kind of tell the story of how we came together. This music business has definitely been good to both of us, and this year we have a lot to be happy for."
And just how will the dynamic duo tell that story? Well, Usher wasn't about to reveal all the details, but he did say that he's hoping their performance will show another side of Bieber ... a side most tend to overlook.
"The performance will be fun," Usher explained. "We want to get up there and just do what we do. Be comfortable, and have a great time. ... This is kind of a crossover for Justin. Having performed on so many different stages, this is the way that I wanted him to be seen and an opportunity to show the industry — a lot of the industry, that didn't believe [in him] — some of his other talents. He's going to play acoustically, and also, we'll get down a little bit."
And though Ush is up for a pair of Grammy awards on Sunday — Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best Contemporary R&B Album for Raymond v. Raymond — he's most looking forward to sharing the stage with Bieber and giving fans a look at where the young artist will be heading next.
"I'm very proud, man. I definitely saw it from the beginning, but thanks to the team that we have around us, it was made to happen. And that story has only just begun," Usher said. "The story of Justin Bieber doesn't stop with screaming girls; we need screaming fans all around the world ... a cultural experience that's much more than just fanfare. And that's what this is. That's what the Grammys will be; that's what my next phase for Justin is. This is the way I found him: I found him with a guitar in his hand, so I want him to be seen that way."
Don't miss "Snooki & Sway: Live From the Grammys," a red-carpet live stream kicking off Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on MTV.com. And stick with us all Grammy night for coverage of the red carpet, the show, the afterparties and beyond!

Rebecca Black's 'My Moment' Video: Frame By Frame
'Friday' star takes MTV News behind the scenes of the new clip for her inspirational single.
By Jocelyn Vena

In Rebecca Black's new video for her single, "My Moment," the viral star gives fans a taste of what life has been like since her rise to fame.
In the video, Black takes fans behind the scenes, and when MTV News sat down with her, she took us behind the scenes of the clip itself, frame by frame.
The video opens with Rebecca in the recording studio, where she's putting the final touches on the inspiring song. "So it was really hard to shoot the first line 'cause I was supposed to be really serious and I'm not a serious person," she admitted. "Having to be kind of sullen was hard. I kept smiling 'cause I'm a natural smiler, if you haven't noticed."
The studio used in the video was especially important to the young star since it turns out one of pop's greatest idols once recorded there. "It was great to be in that studio 'cause that was where Michael Jackson recorded 'We Are the World.' "
Fans who've seen the video know it's a mix of celebrity moments and teen moments. Black explained, "I still like all the school footage that we put in," pointing to a montage of her friends. "It was me having fun with my family and friends."
Black also danced a little in the video, thanks to some help from a few recognizable faces. "It was really amazing doing the dancing; a lot of the dancers were from 'So You Think You Can Dance,' " she said of Robert Roldan and Kent Boyd from the hit Fox show. "And I watch that show [so] I was intimidated at first. It was great to be around people that like what you like."
The video concludes with Black making her way to a red-carpet affair, where her name lights up the marquee. "When I was in front of all the flashing lights, it was crazy commotion," she said, adding that she hopes her fans see that while red carpets are a part of the job, it's definitely fun too. "These celebrities get lost in the whole world of fame, [and the video is to] show people how I stay grounded myself."

Lady Gaga, Katy Perry And The Case Of Pop-Star Alter Egos
Why two mermaids are too much, in Bigger Than the Sound.
By James Montgomery
Katy Perry and Lady Gaga
Photo: MTV News / Getty Images
I suppose it's every pop star's prerogative to adopt an alter ego: Where would Beyoncé be without Sasha Fierce? How could Nicki Minaj exist without Roman Zolanski? Can Mariah ever not be Mimi?
All valid questions, to be certain, and yet ... maybe it's time we stop asking them. With all due respect to the Queen B, Ms. Minaj and the Magnificent Mariah (or any of the myriad of pop stars who have sought to reinvent themselves over the years), it is entirely possible that we have finally reached the point of no return. And as such, perhaps we should to retire the alter-ego idea entirely.
This has nothing to do with my feelings about alter egos, second selves, or even doppelgängers, since, as a general rule of thumb, I am in favor of them, especially when they involve rock music (Ziggy Stardust!), comic books (Superman!) and/or professional wrestling (the Undertaker!) But it has everything to do with mermaids. Or, more specifically, the fact that, at this very moment, two of the biggest pop stars on the planet are attempting to foist mermaid alter egos upon us ... and neither seems to have a problem with that.
It all started last month, when Lady Gaga pulled on a fishtail and became Yuyi the Mermaid for a performance on French TV. In theory, this was all right with me, considering A) Yuyi will apparently be featured in her next music video and B) I have never been wronged by a mermaid, mostly because they are mythological creatures. The event that made me reconsider my feelings actually occurred earlier this week, when Katy Perry took to her Twitter account to post a photo of herself, mid-plank, dressed as Ariel from "The Little Mermaid."
Not surprisingly, this angered Gaga's little monsters (and Laurieann Gibson), but I'd suggest that their outrage was misguided. They shouldn't be mad at Perry for going mermaid, they should be mad at pop stars in general. Because, really, if we've reached the point where they can't even come up with original alter egos any more, well, then perhaps it's time to do away with the concept altogether.
And yes, I realize that mermaids are inexplicably hot right now, what with their inclusion in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and Stephenie Meyer's upcoming book, in which they will apparently devour men or something. Still, have we officially run out of alter egos? Shoot, Gaga has already been a motorcycle, a space mother, and Mary Magdalene ... and that's just since she released Born This Way. And Katy? She's currently working another alter ego, an orthodontically enhanced teen named Kathy Beth Terry. Couldn't one of them be a centaur? Joan of Arc? Abraham Lincoln?
Apparently not. And since we've apparently reached the alter ego's event horizon, I'm proposing a five-year moratorium on any and all split personalities. Let's all just chill a bit ... give the batteries some time to recharge. You may think I'm being reactionary, but deep down, you know I'm right. I don't want to live in a world where our pop stars have been reduced to dueling mermaids, simply because there were no other alternatives. And I'll be damned if I'm going to sit idly by and watch as the good name of Chris Gaines is dragged through the mud. Especially by mermaids.
Have our favorite pop stars taken the mermaid trend too far? Sound off in the comments!

The Hunger Games First Look: Josh Hutcherson! Liam Hemsworth!
Two months ago, Entertainment Weekly gave readers their first look at Jennifer Lawrence in the main Hunger Games role of Katniss Everdeen.
Now, the magazine had done the same for Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, who will portray the two young man both pining for Katniss in the big screen version of this best-selling novel, Peeta and Gale, respectively.
Hemsworth, of course, is mostly known for dating Miley Cyrus. But director Gary Ross stands up for the Australian actor in an interview with the magazine and says:
“On first glance he’s such a hunk that it’s easy to just sort of ascribe a hunk-like simplicity to him. But this is a phenomenally subtle actor.”

'Breaking Dawn' Stars Recall Mud And Cold During Wedding Scene
'It was picture-perfect,' Ashley Greene says of the shoot, despite trying conditions.

As anticipation for the wedding scene in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1" continues to build, it's hard to imagine it could possibly live up to the high expectations of "Twilight" fans. But the saga's stars assure us that it will, in fact, be a spectacle worthy of Bella and Edward, even if it didn't always look that way when they were filming it.
"Have you ever been to an awards show and you're like, 'Wow, on TV that looks much bigger, but then this is just sort of life that we're living?' " Nikki Reed asked when MTV caught up with her at San Diego Comic-Con. "We were shooting [the wedding], and I remember thinking that. I remember going, 'When I see this onscreen, it is going to feel epic. But I know what it's like to be here right now.' "
Since the wedding was filmed in Vancouver, a place whose weather mirrors the Washington location in the books, it was freezing and wet on the set. Reed said that the ladies' stilettos got stuck in the mud, and the hems of their gowns got dirty while shooting the outdoor sequence.
"There were really beautiful elements to it," Ashley Greene added. "Like, if you took out the fact that it was so cold and just looked at it like a picture, it was picture-perfect."
Fortunately, Greene at least got a chance to contribute to the final design for her bridesmaids dress. She and director Bill Condon exchanged ideas back and forth until they finally decided on a look for her fashionista character Alice.
"[Alice] is from the 1920s-ish, and so I thought her dress should have a little bit of that feel," Greene explained. "Other people had different visions, so we kind of put everything together, and I think it's something that you haven't seen before."
Fans already got a glimpse of the wedding in the "Breaking Dawn" theatrical trailer that premiered during the MTV Movie Awards, but we'll have to wait until November to see it in all its glory.
Check out everything we've got on "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1."

Pals Justin Bieber and Chris Brown were spotted heading into a studio together on Monday. According to Rap-Up.com, the singers met up at the Record Plant in Hollywood.
"Studio. #NEWMUSIC," Bieber tweeted early Tuesday morning, leading us to believe the session was for his next album.
Previously Bieber told MTV News that he wanted to focus less on features for his next album, but given the fact that Brown recently wrote a track for Joe Jonas, it's possible he may have just been assisting with some writing.
The rumored session marks the latest collaboration for the pair, who have appeared on two tracks together in the past. First, they remixed Bieber's slow jam "Up," then Bieber jumped on Brown's ballad "Next to You."
Bieber's producer, Danja, told Rap-Up.com that he's aiming for an "edgier" sound for the 17-year-old's next release. "What I'm creating for him I think is definitely a more mature sound. That's where he's headed now," he explained.
Earlier this year, Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, revealed some other names the pop star hopes to get into the studio with, including Drake, a collaboration Bieber hinted at last year.
Bieber is also reportedly working with Kanye West. "Him and Kanye [West] had a call today about a song they're trying to work on together," Braun said. "Kanye wants to produce a bunch of songs for the new album."

Tom Felton's Post-Potter Plans: Planet of the Apes

For nearly ten years he's been known for his role in "Harry Potter," now Tom Felton is stepping into a part - and it's all monkey business!
The 23-year-old actor, who played a villain in the "Potter" franchise, says his new project "Planet of the Apes doesn't have him stretching far from his previous character, Draco Malfoy.
"My character [Dodge Landon], he works at a primate facility ? I can reveal that ? in which ... he's not the nicest of people looking after these lovely creatures," Tom told press about his role as the animal's sanctuary manager in the forthcoming film.
The action flick, which also stars James Franco and Freida Pinto, is set to debut in theaters August 15.

'Amazing Spider-Man' Star Andrew Garfield Says Peter Parker 'Is Everybody'

When "The Amazing Spider-Man" took Comic-Con by storm over the weekend, much of the buzz was about the movie's trailer and our first glimpses of Spidey in action and villain-to-be Curt Connors. But when MTV News sat down with stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, we got a little more touchy-feely and asked for more insight into how they decided to approach their much-beloved characters.
"I've always loved this character, and I've always loved the base essence of this character," he told us on Saturday. "And I feel like this character is everybody. It doesn't belong to me; it doesn't belong to you; it doesn't belong to him, her or he or she."
Garfield said that the nerdy-in-real-life/kick-butt-in-spandex hero has given him "so much reassurance over the years," that the character has incredible importance for him. "There's so many elements that I care about. One of the elements that I was interested in was doing something with his physicality," he continued. "I wanted to be as if the venom from the spider bite was doing something specific to his DNA."
While Spider-man goes through some crazy changes, Peter was easy for Garfield to figure out. "He's everyone. He goes through the same struggles that all teenage boys go through," he said. "It's impossible to not relate to."
Though she's aware Gwen Stacy's history on the page, Stone said a lot of her approach to the character was "instinctual" and based on her reaction to Garfield's Peter.
"I think, from the beginning, the attraction between Gwen and Peter is pretty apparent, and that just kind of intensifies throughout the course of the movie," she said. "Gwen really relates to the story through Peter. And I don't want to give too much away with that, but she's ... sweet."

'Glee' Season Finale Exclusive: Listen To 'Yeah!' Here
An a cappella girl group covers Usher's hit for Nationals in next week's episode.

During this week's episode of "Glee", the gang from New Directions took a big risk when they decided they would compete in Nationals by singing their own original songs. Well, the stakes just got a little higher.
MTV News has an exclusive first listen to one of the rival groups who will go up against the McKinley High glee club in New York City during next Tuesday's (May 24) big season two finale. In the upcoming episode, an all-female a cappella group sings Usher's 2004 club and radio smash "Yeah!," which may have the Nationals judges saying just that.
Singers replace synthesizers for the four-note melody that repeats throughout the song, and lead vocalists RaVaughn Brown and Missi Hale match the high energy that Usher, Lil Jon and Ludacris brought to the track.
Granted, a few things have been tweaked in the version for the tween-friendly show, including the length (the original is over four minutes long, while the "Glee" version comes in at three and a half minutes) and the tune's instructions to "Take that and rewind it back ... got the rhythm make ya booty go."
Also, instead of Ludacris' verse, "We want a lady in the street/ And a freak in the bed," one girl sings, "You know you want a kiss on the lips, old red." The line, "Ludacris fill cups like double D's" has also been cut from the song.
But, it's not all PG. At one point in the girls' rendition of the track, they page homage to Lil Jon's crunk hit "Get Low," singing, "From the windows to the walls" and even Mystikal's booty-happy single "Shake Ya Ass," when they urge, "Show me whatcha' workin' with."
At the 2005 Grammy Awards, the power trio of Usher, Lil Jon and Ludacris won the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Yeah!" But, will the song bring the same sort of fortune to this girl group at Nationals? Or will the glory all belong to New Directions this time? Gleeks will still have to wait a few more days to find out.
The "Glee" season finale airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Fox, while "Glee": The Music, Volume 6, including the three new original songs "Light Up the World," "Pretending" and "As Long as You're There," will be available on Monday.
What do you think of this a cappella group's version of "Yeah!"? Let us know in the comments section below!

Kristen Stewart Feels 'Strong' In 'Snow White' Armor
At Comic-Con, 'Snow White and the Huntsman' cast preview costumes.

SAN DIEGO — Kristen Stewart may be the fairest of them all, but her Snow White that was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (July 23) certainly doesn't look like a damsel in distress.
The "Twilight Saga" actress took to the stage to promote "Snow White and the Huntsman" in Hall H alongside her co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron and Sam Claflin, producer Joe Roth and director Rupert Sanders. Unfortunately, there was no footage to show since the flick doesn't start shooting until next week, but the cast did bring some first looks at the costume design and general feel of the movie.
Stewart's Snow White doesn't have a yellow and blue dress, and there's not a bow to be seen. Instead, she was decked out in a full suit of armor and sported a giant shield with a white tree emblazoned on it. Her Prince Charming, played by Claflin, was similarly dressed, though he teased that his prince was not as sweet as he might have been in previous incarnations.
As the titular Huntsman, Hemsworth looked a bit ragged and dirty with his axe and commoner's clothes. When asked what it took to get him in costume for that, he joked that it required "about four or five of hours of rolling around in the mud, four days of drinking" and for the clothes to be dug up "from the backyard in Australia."
The evil stepmother, played by Theron, was as imposing as anyone could have been hoped for. Theron looked like a more badass version of the evil queen from the classic Disney cartoon, with a braided blonde coif on her head and a dagger in hand.
"This, as a fable, she sort of just starts off as a bad person, so it was important to understand [why she is the way she is]," Theron explained about her character. "A lot of her circumstances will kind of bleed into her actions ... She's a serial killer; I'm pretty much preparing to play a serial killer."
This will be one of Stewart's first roles outside of "The Twilight Saga," and Roth said part of the draw of casting her was to be the one who helped her expand as an actress. For Stewart, it was the chance to play a tougher role.
"It's not a little girl sitting by a well with little tweety birds telling her what to do and where to go," she said of her character. "[The costume] makes you feel kind of strong occasionally, sometimes, but I kind of feel tiny, my pinhead sticks out of these enormous things."

'True Blood' Recap:Season 4, Episode 5

Tommy reacts to being chained up by his gross parents not by turning into a bumblebee or rhinoceros, but by murdering both of them. It's kind of sad, but also there is a sweetness in that he immediately drives their dead bodies over to Sam's house for help getting rid of them. One short V-inspired hassling from Andy Bellefleur later, they've given the bodies to the crocodiles and sort of made up about things.
Arlene and Terry invite good old Lettie Mae and Rev. Daniels over to the house for a quick exorcism -- which quickly becomes unsettlingly coded and circuslike in only the way an evangelical Lettie Mae situation could ever be -- but by nighttime the devil baby or devil doll or ghost of Renee has set fire to their house.

Taxpayers on the Hook For Casey Anthony Defense
People already up in arms over the Casey Anthony verdict may not want to read this new report, which indicates that they financed a big part of it.
Wherever she's in hiding, no need to worry about legal bills reaching her - $119,000 in defense fees racked up during her trial are being covered.
Thank you, Florida taxpayers! All taken care of!
Another pending $5,800 in fees that Anthony's attorney Jose Baez has billed to his client's case has put the state's taxpayer tab at just shy of $125,000.
As per Florida law, public coffers have been covering Anthony's defense costs since all the way back in March 2010, when she declared herself indigent.
Anthony was found not guilty of killing 2-year-old daughter Caylee, but received four years for providing false statements to law enforcement officials.
Having served nearly all of that while awaiting trial for murder, her post-verdict sentence was just two weeks, and she was released on July 17.
The accused murderer went promptly into hiding; all her attorney Baez indicated to Orlando station WKMG is that "She's not here in Orlando."
Wherever Anthony may be, it's a safe bet that either Baez or another deal-making surrogate is forwarding her a fair number of media offers.
The moment the Orlando jury handed down its controversial acquittal, insiders began speculating that Casey could command seven-figure fees.
There is reportedly a war already among the major networks to land the first Anthony interview, which sources saying comes with "big price tag."
Don't expect Anthony and Baez to pay back the taxpayers with their earnings from this and subsequent tell-all endeavors. Just saying.
